Gifting You My Love

I have been thinking about that lovely Hallmark Holiday we call, Valentines Day. You see, Jc and I have been kinda hit and miss with our gifting to each other in all areas, including birthdays. Last year for Valentines Day I did not give him anything gave him my undying love and affection. He gave me rubber irrigation boots. Not even the stylish ones with plaid or hearts or pink stripes, just plain old dark blue rubber irrigation boots. Now, honestly this was obviously a gift he was giving himself, because me having irrigation boots of my own= my not having an excuse to not help him move irrigation pipe. So not only does he get my undying love and affection but he gets my unpaid labor too. You may say, yes but he gave you something and you gave him nothing. I did not give him....okay, I did give him nothing, but I wasn't disguising my nothing as something. Okay, I was... but come on irrigation boots!? I think this year I will give him this...

What do you think? It's even red, the color of love. I will get his undying love and affection and clean floors! Maybe I should put my irrigation boots on now, it's getting deep in here.

Even better than last nights blog!!However, you ahve to love the "sneak" gift. The one that has a double meaning. Of course meaning free labor. That, my friend, is the beauty of it. Hilarious!!! Keep em coming. Very intertaining!

Get him a Dyson. You could "sell" it with the line that nothing sucks like a Dyson. Wow, now I hope your family hasn't been checking your blog as I start to blush.

Russ and I have been miss and miss with gifts too. Christmas and anniversary were very nice for me... he got socks (and my undying love, too). I have got to come up with something nicer for V-Day... but really when you set the bar at socks, you can only get better. ALso, he is still waiting for his father's day present from last year. I had a perfect plan... and then our budget became less flexible. Someday he will have a comfy recliner of his own. Just not quite yet.

Valentines Day, nothing. Mothers Day, nothing. Birthday, nothing. Christmas, nothing. Getting the picture? Okay, I have been VERY patient with my hunny since we have been in school and have had zero $ to spend. So last year when he finally had a job that paid good enough to give me a little something, he continued with NOTHING!!! So on my birthday I had a cow. I am sick of not being appriciated. Do I not do EVERYTHING for you? So I was given a be-lated b-day gift. He gifted me with Sundays, he is now in charge of dinner and clean up every Sunday. Now that is what I am talking about. A gift with real thought, and it didn't cost him a single penny. I LOVE my hunny again!!!! I don't even care that it is waffles every Sunday!
