I Could REALLY Use A DIET PEPSI

Update...

Vootz continued to vomit well into the early morning hours until he could only manage the dry heaves. I gave him a small cup of Sprite and told him to sip it slowly. It took him about 30 minutes to finish it and so far it has stayed down. I asked him a minute ago if he wanted to try some more and he said that he did not want anything else. This is "garbage guts" we are talking about here, he has never turned down any food, especially not the rare treat of soda. just because JC and I are addicted doesn't mean my kids get to have it he must really be feeling bad. Now he says he hurts all over and wants to go back to bed.

Buzz woke up this morning with the rash spreading to his neck, cheek and back. But that is not even the clincher...he tells me, "Mom my rash is making my tummy hurt on the inside." Ugh! So I find another bucket and settle him in. He too refused to eat or drink anything. It looks like it is going to be a long week end.

The other two *knock on wood* seem to be doing okay. JC left for the ranch typical and I am trying to figure out how to go check the mail for medical cards so hopefully if I need to have the boys see a doctor it won't be such a hassle. And also how to get to the store for more 7-Up and Gatorade with out having to risk kids puking in my car. I guess I will have JC do it on his way home tonight...or better yet I will wait until JC gets home tonight and go myself. He can handle throw up for thirty minutes...I think hope. I'm going to go air out the house now and pray that no one else gets sick.

Oh no... But also as I remember from when I was a kid- me or my sister would start puking, and the other one would follow the "good" example pretty quick! Once the only think I could keep down was fruit chamagne flavored soda. I have never had it since.. *shudders*
I hope they get well soon.. I'd say you have EARNED that diet pepsi! try and stick with just the one though.. We want that heart of yours to stay calm and nice and healthy! :D

It is moments like these that I roll my eyes to the heavens and think "These are the days I'm supposed to cherish?" Nothing says "good mom", "excellent wife" and "I'm tougher than my husband will EVER be" than a house full of puke. My favorite (not) was the time the kids all got to pukin their guts out and none of them were old enough to make to to anything- it was only three kids then, but Kacy was the oldest at three years... changing sheets for days! Will ended up sleeping on towels, covered up by towels... man- is it warm enough to open windows down there? I hope so- that smell is awful. So are dry heaves (I sometimes had those when pregnant- yuck). Save that trip to the store and TAKE YOUR TIME. In your new car! Yes! Congrats!

I've been drinking lots of water with those flavor packets thrown in. They have like 5 calories and NO sugar. Not quite pop but it's a good, healthy step away from soda for me.

I guess we won't be seeing you at church tomorrow. Good luck with the boys, you know that once one gets it, it has to go all the way around. Loves and good thoughts in your direction!
